Gununng
Abang has an altitude of 2152 meters above sea level, and is the third
highest peak after 2 mountains in different districts, namely Gunung
Agung in Karang Asem Regency and Gunung Bukaru in Tabanan Regency. The
position of Mount Abang is lined with 2 mountains, namely Mount Batur
and Mount Agung, and Mount Abang is in the middle. Mount Abang is also
like a gate with Mount Batur, which flanks the largest lake in Bali,
namely Lake Batur.
When
you are at the top of Mount Abang, you can look around Mount Abang
which is filled with beautiful baths. On the east side, you can see the
majesty of the majestic mountains with views of Sunrice which makes you
want to immediately upload it to Instagram. On the west side you can see
the beauty of Mount Batur which is surrounded by the lake. And you will
also feel in a country above the clouds. This is because if you are
lucky, you will see a collection of fog covering the surface below.
Hiking Tracks
Mount Abang Bali, a fruitful climbing struggle |
The
view above is indeed beautiful, but you must fight first. The hiking
trail is quite challenging. If you're not ready, maybe you won't make it
to the butt. There are 3 posts on the hiking trail, each post has a
pelinggih or temple, so you shouldn't act carelessly. And every level
post is different.
Level 1
This level one is a track to get to the first post. This first track is easy, because the track is still flat and has a few inclines and descents. But it's not that easy, the sandy ground can make you slip if you're not alert. Because the sand makes the path slippery.
Level 2
Now
after the first post, then you start to feel the name climbing. From
post 1 to post 2, the track starts to get steep. If you take the wrong
step, the risk is slipped. The paths are sandy and clayey, and there are
fallen trees, making the path worthy of being called second level. But
after arriving at post 2 you can see beautiful views of the lake and
Mount Batur. If you want to set up a tent, post 2 can be a suitable
place.
Level 3
After
post 2, maybe you will think about continuing the climb. In this third
level, is the last track to reach the top. To get to the top, the path
will be much more steep and difficult than posts 1 and 2. The path will
be more steep plus a slippery and sandy track, you will also find fallen
trees too. Even though the distance is close to the top, because of the
steep track, it will feel longer, compared to posts 1 and 2.
